Hi, I’m Amanda.
And I’m passionate about helping people on their recovery journey! Since 2013 I’ve worked with clients in both group and individual therapy, offering tools, support, and insight with my signature blend of warmth, humor, and wisdom.
I want you to know that whether you’re exploring sobriety, have been sober for many years, or are in longterm recovery, you’re in the right place.
I’m a licensed therapist in Massachusetts, and I love supporting people in their sobriety.
Former clients have described me as both warm and genuine, yet also holding them accountable and offering regular feedback. They’ve appreciated a sense of empowerment from our work, growing their self-awareness and insight, and developing a new relationship with themselves and with their challenges.
My therapeutic style is eclectic, blending parts of different modes of therapy together, based on the needs of the person I’m working with. I create space for feeling and reflecting, provide practical skills, and use a range of tools to aid the therapy process, like visual maps, metaphors, and articles and books. I also communicate openly with my clients about how the process of therapy is going, what they need, and how we’re meeting those needs.
My Education, Experience, and Counseling Style
-
My masters degree is in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine. I graduated in 2013 from Boston University.
I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts since 2016, and offer both in-person therapy for those in the Boston area, and virtual (online) therapy for adults across the state.

I have been a therapist since 2013, and have worked with hundreds of individual clients, and have spent nearly 1000 hours leading therapy groups.
I specialize in drug/alcohol addiction recovery, and co-occuring challenges like anxiety, depression, ADHD, codependency, and trauma.

My approach is eclectic! In our therapy sessions you can expect these approaches and others:
Person-centered, mindfulness, and self-compassion approaches: to grow your ability to notice your thoughts and feelings, be kinder to yourself, and feel empowered to take steps that move your life and recovery forward.
ACT, DBT, and CBT: offer ways to shift your mindset through concepts like acceptance and willingness. They also offer tools to help you learn to regulate your emotions, and understand the relationships between your thoughts, feelings, and actions.
Integration of Spirituality: to give us space to consider larger questions about God, suffering, meaning, purpose, and love.
A few things about me:
I am a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)! I am exceptionally compassionate and perceptive, and notice patterns and connections very easily, helpful for my work as a therapist!
I love yoga, strength training, spending time outside, and prayer—they all help me feel grounded and at peace.
I find a lot of joy and comfort in cooking and creating beautiful things with my hands.
My favorite thing about being a therapist is helping people build insight, discover connections they couldn’t see before, and make changes they never thought possible in their lives. It’s an honor and a joy to witness and be a part of.
